In Poppiano, in the municipality of Montespertoli (Florence), Chianti Energy has installed a 6.58 kWp solar PV system, choosing our Virgo Series 6K-S inverter and a 10 kWh sodium-ion battery. A new installation that brings our technology to the Florence area, complementing solar production with the ability to store energy for use when needed.
Chianti Energy: from design to after-sales support
Based in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Chianti Energy installs energy-saving systems for households and businesses. Its activities include solar PV, solar thermal and heating and air-conditioning solutions.
The company manages projects with an in-house design team and its own team of installers, also handling the paperwork and after-sales support once the system is up and running. The customer therefore has a single point of contact throughout the process.
The work is based on an analysis of the building, energy consumption and usage habits, to identify the configuration best suited to the needs of each project.
Our technology at the heart of the system
Production comes from 14 panels, with a total power of 6.58 kWp, paired with the Heiwit Virgo Series 6K-S inverter.
The system is completed by our 10 kWh sodium-ion battery storage, which stores the energy produced in excess of current consumption and makes it available later, for example in the evening.
For this project, Chianti Energy therefore chose to integrate both of our solutions: the inverter for converting the energy and the battery for storing it.
More solar energy for everyday consumption
Combining solar PV and battery storage promotes self-consumption and helps reduce the energy drawn from the grid, depending on solar production and the user's requirements.
The Poppiano project combines Chianti Energy's experience in installing systems with our sodium-ion technology, extending the use of solar energy beyond the hours of production.
