Hybrid single-phase inverter VIRGO

3K-S/4K6-S/6K-S

Virgo is Heiwit's single-phase hybrid inverter for 48 V sodium-ion batteries, available in three sizes: the 3 kW 3K-S, the 4.6 kW 4K6-S and the 6 kW 6K-S. It accepts up to 9 kW of solar PV across 2 MPPTs, 8 kW on the 3K-S, and charges or discharges the battery at up to 5 kW. In the event of a power cut it switches over in 10 ms. Maximum efficiency is 97.6% and the protection rating is IP66. The inverter plus battery system holds CEI 0-21 certification issued by TÜV SÜD; for Germany there are the VDE-AR-N 4105 certificates. The Heiwit warranty is 10 years, with service in Italy. It is sold and installed only through the Heiwit installer network.

Frequently asked questions about the Virgo inverter

Which Virgo model should you choose?

The 3K-S delivers 3 kW output, the 4K6-S 4.6 kW and the 6K-S 6 kW. The permitted solar PV input is 8 kW on the 3K-S and 9 kW on the other two, always across 2 MPPTs. All three use the same 48 V Heiwit batteries and charge or discharge at up to 5 kW.

How many batteries can be connected to a Virgo?

From one to three 10 kWh Heiwit sodium-ion batteries. This is the configuration set out in the system's TÜV SÜD conformity document.

Does the Virgo hold CEI 0-21 certification?

Yes. The system comprising the Virgo inverter and battery holds CEI 0-21 certification issued by TÜV SÜD on the basis of type tests, document no. D 132944 0003 of 17 October 2025.

Is it certified for the German grid?

Yes. The 3K-S to 6K-S models hold TÜV SÜD certificates to VDE-AR-N 4105:2018: generating unit ESY 132944 0008 and network and system protection NS ESY 132944 0009, both dated 14 September 2026.

Does it work during a power cut?

Yes. Switchover to the backup output takes place in 10 ms. Backup power is 3 kW on the 3K-S, 4.6 kW on the 4K6-S and 5 kW on the 6K-S.

Who is responsible for the warranty and after-sales service?

Heiwit, directly in Italy, with a 10-year warranty. The Virgo is sold and installed only through the Heiwit installer network.
