Whistleblowing: Reporting Illegal or Irregular Conduct
At Heiwit, we are committed to an ethical, transparent and compliant working environment. To maintain our corporate integrity and promote a culture of trust and responsibility, we have established a system of whistleblowing which allows employees, collaborators and third parties to report any unlawful or irregular conduct.
What Can Be Reported
We encourage anyone to report any violations or suspicious behaviour that may compromise Heiwit's ethics, safety or compliance. Some examples of conduct that you may report include:
- Fraud or misappropriation of company funds
- Violations of environmental laws and regulations
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest
- Corruption, bribery or illicit practices
- Violations of privacy and data protection
- Discrimination or harassment in the workplace
- Violations of Heiwit's internal policies
How the Whistleblowing System Works
Alerts can be made in reserved and, if required, in form anonymous. We guarantee the utmost discretion and are committed to protecting the rights of those who report any irregularities. Here is how you can submit a report
Dedicated Email: Send an email to [email protected] specifying the relevant information. The email is managed by an independent team that guarantees confidentiality.
Whistleblower Protection
In line with European and national regulations, Heiwit is committed to protecting those who make reports in good faith. It is our policy to ensure that:
- There will be no reprisals o retaliation against those who report unlawful or irregular conduct.
- The report will be treated with the utmost discretion and only authorised personnel will have access to the information.
- If you wish, you can report in the form anonymous and we will continue to investigate the reported facts.
What Happens After Reporting
Once the report is received, Heiwit will activate the following process:
-
Preliminary Assessment: An initial assessment will be carried out to determine whether the report falls within the scope of the whistleblowing system.
-
Internal Investigation: If the report is deemed relevant, an internal investigation will be launched by a dedicated team, which will endeavour to gather evidence and verify the facts.
-
Corrective Action: If unlawful or irregular conduct is confirmed, Heiwit will take the necessary measures to rectify the situation and prevent future similar incidents.
-
Feedback to the Whistleblower: If possible, feedback on the report will be provided, without compromising the confidentiality of the investigation or the rights of the persons involved.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
All reports are handled in full compliance with current regulations on personal data protection. The information collected will only be used to investigate the reported incidents and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
Heiwit is committed to creating a safe and legally compliant working environment. With the input of whistleblowers, we can continue to grow and improve, ensuring that our core values are respected in every aspect of our business.
