Heiwit turns 2

Tomorrow designed today

October 2023 - October 2025

In just twenty-four months, Heiwit has gone from intuition to industrial reality: bringing storage systems to the European market to sodium ions, safe, affordable and sustainable. Today we celebrate two years of hard work, proven prototypes, supply chains built piece by piece and a community of installers and partners who believe in our vision.

Why sodium (and why now)

  • Securityinherently stable chemistry, without lithium or cobalt, with reduced thermal risk.
  • Sustainabilitysodium is abundant and widespread; supply chains less stressed and fairer.
  • Accessibilitycost-effective solutions throughout the life cycle, from production to recycling.

The result is a technology that speaks the language of proximity energy: reliable, scalable, ready for home, SME, up to medium-scale BESS systems.

Two years in three stages

1) From laboratory to product

We designed, assembled and tested the first modules sodium-ion batteries, defining the key parameters of performance and durability. Our goal is not “to make a battery”, but designing a systemcell, BMS, casing, interfaces and software must work as one.

2) From cell to supply chain

In parallel we built a international supply chaincell selection, BMS and inverter partners, quality control, testing and documentation. A solid supply chain is the real differential for reliability, availability and transparent pricing.

3) From the idea to the European market

We started the compliance and certification (CE/IEC and national grid connection standards), developed clear technical material for installers and customers, and laid the foundation for a Premium network of professionals trained in sodium technology.

What we learnt

  • Designing for real userobustness, ease of installation and telemetry are essential.
  • Quality is a processCertifications crown a journey of continuous testing and improvement.
  • The supply chain is strategyinterchangeable components, intelligent stocks and reliable partners.

Our product vision

  • Modular systemsfrom residential to small business to BESS.
  • Indoor and outdoor versionsEnclosures for different environments (IP21 and IP65).
  • Ecosystem compatibilityIntegration with inverters and PCS spread across Europe.
  • Software & Datapredictive diagnostics, OTAs, installer and user portals.

Impact: energy that stays in the territory

Bringing sodium into homes and businesses means decarbonising without compromisemore self-consumption, fewer peaks in the grid, more local resilience. It also means fairer supply chains and a European industrial perspective on new storage generation.

Looking ahead to the next 12 months

  • Industrialisationfrom pre-series to series, with stricter quality controls.
  • Approvals and complianceCompletion of procedures in major European markets.
  • Installer Networktraining, technical documentation, SLA and advanced support.
  • Scalabilityfrom the residential module to the BESS of medium size, integrated with PCS.
Heiwit, 2 years. It is not a finishing line: it is the starting line of the next energy. Tomorrow designed today.
