A revamping operation on an existing plant

The installation was carried out in the province of Ferrara on an existing photovoltaic system, originally built under the Second Energy Account and without a storage system.

The intervention involved the extension of the plant with the integration of a new photovoltaic array of almost 9 kW, flanked by a HEIWIT sodium ion storage system.
A solution designed to enhance an already active plant, improving the management of the energy produced and expanding its possibilities for self-consumption.

Installation by ABM Technology & Consulting Group S.r.l.s.

The intervention was carried out by ABM Technology & Consulting Group S.r.l.s., a company active in the field of electrical engineering and renewable energy.

Over the years, the company has developed projects in the field of photovoltaics and electrical systems, working on civil, industrial and infrastructure installations, with an approach oriented towards technical innovation and design quality.

First impressions of installation and use

From an operational point of view, the HEIWIT system immediately showed good ease of integration.
The first impression was related to the ease of installation and programming, aspects that made the start-up phases quick.

Also appreciated was the integrated display, which clearly shows all the information needed to operate the system, without the presence of buttons that the end customer could use to unintentionally change settings.

A further positively valued element is the possibility to programme and monitor the system remotely, making overall management even easier and more effective.

New generation storage for existing installations

The project realised in the province of Ferrara demonstrates how HEIWIT sodium ion storage systems can also be adopted in already operational contexts, such as Conto Energia plants, contributing to the evolution of existing photovoltaic installations.

This intervention is part of the path towards the deployment of storage solutions geared towards ease of use and smarter energy management.
