Aging Test: how we test the reliability of our 6kW inverters before delivery

In the video below we show an important step in our production process: the’aging test on 6kW single-phase inverter, designed to work in conjunction with the 10kWh Heiwit sodium ion batteries. This is an essential test that each individual inverter must pass before it can be considered ready for installation at our customers' premises.

What does “aging test” mean?

“Aging” in English literally means “ageing”. In electronics, the aging test is a controlled stress cycle in which the inverter is switched on, charged and run for hours (sometimes days), simulating real usage conditions: incoming and outgoing energy flows, temperature variations, response to changing loads and much more.

During this phase, We monitor every operational parametervoltages, frequencies, internal temperatures, response to current surges. Any anomaly is detected and the component is discarded or further analysed. Only devices that demonstrate full stability are labelled as suitable and packed for shipment.

Why is it essential to take this test?

The inverter is the heart of any photovoltaic system: it converts the direct energy generated by the panels or stored in the batteries into alternating current, which can be used for household appliances or to be fed into the electricity grid. A faulty inverter can compromise the entire system, cause outages, waste or even damage.

That is why Heiwit chose to test each unit individually. We do not do spot checks, but connect each inverter to the test bench, simulating a real cycle to ensure the highest level of reliability.
