Heiwit presents the new sodium ion BESS: the ideal choice for data centres

We are excited to announce the launch of our new BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) energy storage systems at the sodium ions, designed to meet the increasingly complex needs of the data centre modern.
The exponential growth of data traffic and the growing commitment to sustainability make efficient, secure and cost-effective storage solutions indispensable.

The new system is based on a highly integrated and easy-to-install 20-foot container housing high-capacity sodium ion batteries:

Sodium ion cell performance

Each cell offers:

Advanced Management System (BMS)

The BESS Heiwit is equipped with a Multilayer BMS distributed architecture, which monitors:

  • Voltages and temperatures of individual cells.

  • State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH) in real time.

  • Charge/discharge current and insulation to earth

The system has CAN, RS485, Ethernet communication and supports standard protocols such as Modbus and IEC61850, ensuring maximum interoperability.

Fire protection and safety

Our system adopts a multi-layered protection strategy:

  • Automatic fire extinguishing aerosols on each battery pack.

  • Complete gas extinguishment in the event of an advanced fire.

  • Integrated emergency sprinkler system

  • Direct communication with the BMS management system for immediate fault detection.
